Playground Video Finalist!

Our Cornerstone Playground is one of ten finalists to win up to $15,000
toward new playground equipment.

Now we need your help! To receive the grant we need you to vote for our
playground project as your favorite.  It’s really simple, just go to
http://projects.kaboom.org/vote_2011
and find the event title “Cornerstone Playground.”  You can watch a quick
video about our playground project and the other finalists, register on
the KaBOOM! website.  Then click the big “VOTE” button.  It couldn’t be
easier.

You can vote once every 24 hours from now until May 10!  Bookmark the link
above and vote again tomorrow.

Our kids need your help.  The more times you vote, the better our chance
to win the money for our playground project.  We would really appreciate
it if you could send this along to your friends.

We thank you, and the kids’ thank you for all of your help.

CCO Playground Video

Take a few minutes and watch the new CCO playground video. Maren Wickwire put together this clip together in an effort to get grant money for playground improvements. The clip was submitted to Kaboom, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving play for America’s children. Thanks, Maren!

School Children Strive4more

A group of 3rd-6th graders at a north Chicago school have committed to Strive4more! They will be jogging 1.6 miles each school day for 19 days. They have found friends and family to sponsor each mile of their run. The kids have raised money for CCO but more importantly, they have raised community awareness about homelessness in Chicago. Thanks kids! Keep up the great work!

To learn more about Strive4more and the 8 ultra marathons Paddy McCormack will be running in 8 day, click on the Strive4more link above.
