Today is National Coffee Day! Celebrate and support CCO by visiting Everybody’s Coffee and purchasing a gorgeous hand thrown mug. Chicago potter, Chuck Escue, donates 50% of all purchases to CCO! Thanks, Chuck!
CCO has a long history of women in leadership. Sandy Ramsey has led our organization for nearly 30 years. Recently, Sandy captured the philosophy and hope that CCO tries to bring to all its programs and services.
“We assist people and work with them as they recover from the hardships of homelessness while helping them restore their God given-worth and self-esteem.”
September is Hunger Action Month, a nationwide campaign mobilizing the public to take action on the issue of hunger. Organized by the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks, the campaign brings greater attention to the issue of hunger in America and promotes ways for individuals everywhere to get involved with the movement to solve it.
Join us this September. As individuals, charities, businesses and government, we all have a role to play in getting food to those in need. Together, we can solve hunger!™

Fresh, colorful bedding, hygiene items, safe shelter, nutritious meals, all make a new shelter guest feel welcome and cared for. CCO accepts donations of gently-used and new items at 4628 N. Clifton, 7 days a week from 8am-7pm.
Today is the first day of school for over 100 children sheltered with their families at CCO. Education is a stabilizing force for families experiencing homelessness. At CCO, we work with parents to make the transition to school as smooth as possible. Our yearly back-to-school event gives all our school age kids a chance to choose a backpack and supplies, participate in games, enjoy treats and listen to motivational speakers.
We wish our kids their best school year yet!
