Services for Our Residents

Case Management Assistance

Residents of CCO’s programs receive assistance with resume writing, job referrals, and housing referrals, as well as guidance as they rebuild their lives and find stability for themselves and their families. This assistance may be simple: a bus card to take them to a job interview, or help regaining lost identification. Sometimes the help our families and individuals need is more complex: learning how to resolve conflict within their family or with other residents, budgeting skills, and referrals for help to treat addiction or mental illness. CCO’s caseworkers strive to meet the needs of our residents and provide them with opportunities for growth and a new start.

Mental Health Counseling & On Site Nursing Visits

CCO is proud to partner with counselors from Beacon Therapeutic, and nurses from Heartland Health Outreach to meet the physical and mental health needs of our residents.

On Site Classes

Parenting, Life Skills and Computer classes are ongoing at CCO and provide residents with new tools to rebuild their lives.

Earl G. Green Playspace

Our on-site child care facility is offered to residents attending classes and counseling within our building only. The learning and play space is designed for children newborn to 5 years. We are glad to present this service that can help stabilize our CCO families.

After-School Program

Three afternoons a week CCO residents ages 5-12 are welcome to attend the after-school program. This program offers tutoring, educational encouragement and a safe, fun environment.

Free Store

The Free Store allows our shelter residents and low-income neighbors to shop for clothing and household items. Many of our residents come to us with very little clothing for themselves and their children. The Free Store strives to meet their needs through donations we receive from our supporters.
