Shelter Programs for Families

Hannah House Shelter for Families

Our Hannah House program shelters 65 women with children and a small number of couples with children. This program is handicap accessible.  Our longest running shelter program, Hannah House has been in operation for over 20 years and has enabled hundreds of families to move from homelessness to stable housing.

Sylvia Center Shelter for Families

Sylvia Family Shelter serves over 160 women with children, men with children and couples with children and has been welcoming homeless families since 2001. It is difficult for single fathers to remain with their children when homeless, as there are very few programs providing emergency housing to this population. Two parent families are often split up as well, as adult men are not able to stay in most family shelters. Sylvia Center is proud to support these family groups and give shelter and services to fathers as well as mothers with children.

Leland House

Leland House Permanent Housing Program is located a few blocks from CCO and offers permanent housing to 18 families, women with children. These families live in 2 or 3 bedroom apartments and receive support services. This program supports families whose needs continue beyond affordable housing, and provides these mothers with both affordable housing and tools to build a more stable future for themselves and their children.
