Listed below are areas of our intern needs. However, this list is not conclusive and we are open to dialoguing with you about your interests.
Note: Our internships are currently unpaid.
Intern would aid in meal preparation, cooking, serving, and clean-up for shelter residents. An intern would be given more responsibility in overseeing volunteers, researching nutritional standards and cost effect meals, and teaching nutrition/cooking classes to clients.
Intern would assist caseworkers in their daily tasks which could include client relations, paperwork, research of housing and job opportunities, or event creation.
*CCO does not currently have a LCSW on site
Green Focused Intern
Intern would research, assist, and develop green programs helping the shelter become more energy efficient.
Intern would assist in maintaining the shelter buildings through construction, cosmetic improvement, and upkeep of building.
Intern would assist in office needs including paperwork, filing, billing, payroll, organization, mail distribution, and coping.
Volunteer Coordinator Intern
Intern would assist Volunteer coordinator in directing, instructing, and guiding volunteers.
Life Skills Intern
Intern would work to teach appropriate life skill classes to clientele.
Grant Writing Intern
Intern would assist in the writing of foundational grants.
