Team CCO is Cornerstone Community Outreach’s growing fitness charity team. Team members meet together, volunteer, and challenge themselves through training and fund raising for the families and individuals sheltered at CCO. These efforts directly benefit the lives of our shelter guests and help to alleviate homelessness in Chicago.
In the past, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon has been the centerpiece of Team CCO’s fitness year. This year the team is offering a broad range of charitable fitness options. They are:
We want to be plastic-free! Do you have reusable shopping bags that are just gathering dust? Drop them off any time at 4628 N. Clifton Avenue in Chicago. They will be used for our food pantry program that provides nutritious food to over 125 households each week. Thank you!
CCO is working to be plastic-free! Today at the CCO Food bag Program, pantry patrons were given reusable bags for their can goods, produce and frozen meats. Do you have reusable bags you would like to donate? Please bring them to 4628 N. Clifton Avenue in Chicago. Staff and neighbors donated a large quantity of bags. Special thanks to Coinstar and Redbox for donating nearly 3,000 insulated Whole Foods bags. Thank you!
