CCO is proud to be a community partner with Back on my Feet – Chicago. BoMF believes that through dedication and hard work resident members earn the opportunity to create a new road for themselves. Running leads to personal transformation and dedication to the program leads to access to training, employment and housing resources.

Cornerstone Community Outreach Executive Director, Sandy Ramsey, has a special thank you message for Team CCO! Click on the video to hear Sandy thank all the men and women who committed so much time and effort toward this years Bank of America Chicago Marathon! We are so proud of our team!
Do you know anyone who has run 9 marathons in 9 days? We do! Long-time CCO supporter Patrick McCormack, has been running for over 17 years. He turned that love for the long road into an amazing CCO fund-raiser in 2010. That year Paddy began his journey on the steps of CCO. It continued through Chicago, along the Illinois & Michigan Canal, past miles of cornfields and finally ending in Central Illinois. There he was cheered across the finish line by friends and family!
Paddy’s radical fundraising endeavor turned into Team CCO. This year, over 70 people are registered to run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of our shelter guests. Paddy and his daughter, Mikhel, will be among them. Paddy, Mikhel and the rest of Team CCO are fundraising through Crowdrise.
Most of us won’t be running a marathon anytime soon, but most of us can support Team CCO. Your donation dollars help homeless families and individuals stabilize their lives and find permanent housing.
Team CCO is ready to go! In less than one month rigorous training will end and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will begin for Team CCO runners. This year 73 dedicated people, motivated by a desire to support CCO’s shelter guests, have registered to run, jog or walk the 26.2 mile course. Learn more about these inspiring men and women and help them reach CCO’s fundraising goal!
How much do you weigh? Don’t answer that! No matter what you weigh if you participate in this years Hunger Walk you will add 214 pounds of nutritious groceries to our food account! These food items are used to feed our shelter residents and dinner guests and are distributed through our food bag program! Click “Get Involved” in the menu above and then click “Hunger Walk” for more information. Thank you!
