Cornerstone Community Outreach Executive Director, Sandy Ramsey, has a special thank you message for Team CCO! Click on the video to hear Sandy thank all the men and women who committed so much time and effort toward this years Bank of America Chicago Marathon! We are so proud of our team!
Do you know anyone who has run 9 marathons in 9 days? We do! Long-time CCO supporter Patrick McCormack, has been running for over 17 years. He turned that love for the long road into an amazing CCO fund-raiser in 2010. That year Paddy began his journey on the steps of CCO. It continued through Chicago, along the Illinois & Michigan Canal, past miles of cornfields and finally ending in Central Illinois. There he was cheered across the finish line by friends and family!
Paddy’s radical fundraising endeavor turned into Team CCO. This year, over 70 people are registered to run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of our shelter guests. Paddy and his daughter, Mikhel, will be among them. Paddy, Mikhel and the rest of Team CCO are fundraising through Crowdrise.
Most of us won’t be running a marathon anytime soon, but most of us can support Team CCO. Your donation dollars help homeless families and individuals stabilize their lives and find permanent housing.
