FAQ Team CCO

I’ve been asked a couple of questions, and I wanted to address them.

Q. I am interested in running with Team CCO, what do I do?
A. Awesome, and glad you came! Step one, go to ccolife.org/teamcco read it over and fill out the Team CCO 2013 Early Contact form, and we will contact you within 24 hours. Step two will be to sign-up for your individual Team CCO page on CrowdRise.com/teamcco2013. Step three will be for you, on February 19th at 12pm Central, to register yourself for the 2013 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Prior to the registration date, Team CCO will send you your own registration redemption code and unique URL. Step four is run, raise and be proud of the work you are doing! More on that later.

Q. What is Team CCO’s fundraising minimum, and how do I raise the money?
A. This year’s minimum is $300. With the cost of the registration going up to $175, and the Team expenses, we want us all to be doing our best. $300 is just the minumum, but you should aim higher. Team CCO uses CrowdRise.com as our Team sign-up and fundraising vehicle. check it out at http://www.crowdrise.com/teamcco2013

Q. If I get injured, or an asteroid lands on my house and I can’t run, what then?
A. Call NASA, and blame them for Bruce Willis not drilling a hole in the asteroid first. Then, remember that this is about you making a commitment first to yourself to succeed, and then leverage your personal goal as a way to raise money for the homeless. Consider if you can still achieve your goal somehow, maybe walk the marathon. And if in the end you cannot, then come and cheer along side the Team CCO Cheer squad headed up by Beth Nicholls. Either way, move forward as if you will succeed, and most likely you will!
