Remembering Homeless Children this Christmas

Dear friends,
This is an invitation to join me in helping equip the childcare center at Cornerstone Community Outreach.   Cornerstone has a shelter that has up to 150 children among its residents.  The childcare center provides care for homeless children, enabling mothers and fathers to get job training, prepare resumes, and apply for much needed schooling or work.

This request is for $10.  If you choose to participate,  please make a check payable to
Cornerstone Community Outreach – Childcare Center, and mail it to:

Please share this invitation with friends!
Thank you and Merry Christmas,

Hanig’s Footwear gives New Shoes to Naomi House Ladies!

Peter Hanig and a large group of volunteers from Northwestern University, Hanig Footwear staff and his own family, blessed the single women of CCO with new high-quality shoes. Each of our ladies where treated as if they were in a Hanig shoe store. They were seated, sized and fitted for footwear.
One of our residents told me, “When I was employed I only shopped for shoes at Hanig! They are Chicago-owned and operated. This is just great!”
The volunteers made the event extra special. The respect and kindness they showed to our ladies was refreshing. They were the recipients of many smiles, words of thanks and a few hugs. It was an exceptional afternoon and we are truly grateful!
