On average 200 food bags are distributed weekly from Cornerstone Community Outreach (CCO). Our neighbors are able to shop through available food items and take home what they need. Fresh and healthy food is readily available. While good nutrition is important the pantry also could be considered a homeless prevention program. Many Chicago residents are forced to choose between buying groceries and paying rent. By making healthy food available more families and individuals are able to stay housed!
CCO’s food bag program has been serving our neighborhood for over 20 years. We are grateful to be able to contribute to the needs of others in this way!
